2 tips for finding replacement cordless drill batteries
Often it can be extremely difficult to find replacement cordless drill batteries, especially if your cordless drill is an older model out of production. It seems many stores do not carry older battery packs just to entice you to buy the latest new drill, well, lets not let that happen. This article is here to help you find a battery pack.
When you get frustrated looking for a cordless drill battery and end up at a dead end, use these two tips to get back on track.
Have the model number for your drill. This number should be located somewhere on your drill, and represents the serial number of the product. You can use this number to help you find the appropriate battery as many online stores list replacement batteries with the number in the listing.
If using the drill's model number doesn't work then a better idea is to find the serial number on the battery pack. Doing a search for this number almost always returns a good result.
These are just two tips on how you can better your search for cordless drill batteries. Looking for one can be frustrating, but perhaps the most frustrating part is having to pay an arm and a leg for a new battery pack. I guess when a seller knows you need it badly they think they can charge a hefty price for it.
It definitely isn't fair to have to pay so much for a new one, but other than finding one somewhere for cheaper than other places you could always try to revive your battery. There are a couple of how-to's out there that show you exactly how to revive a battery back to life. One video I saw used a welding tool to juice it back up.
If you know where to look then you can definitely find a pack for cheaper. I know of one place where you can find cordless drill batteries for cheap (which just goes to show how many places are overcharging...). It also has some helpful tips on how you can restore your battery back to life and save some money. All in all its just an excellent place to visit for your cordless drill battery needs.

Battery care:10 things you can do to make any battery last longer
As far as battery maintenance goes, I'm the worst ever. I can't even begin to count the number of times I've needed to jump on my laptop, use my cell phone or any other portable electronic device, only to find myself in the unenviable position of having no juice left on the battery. Simply put, I overuse, poorly maintain, and all in all just wear down all of the batteries I need like it's going out of style.
These bad habits usually leave me powerless when I most need power, so I asked around and came out with these 10 simple things you can do to make any battery last longer.
This will not work in bright areas like out doors, but sure works well indoors. Cell phones, laptops, and even watches have brightness controls that will help stretch the life of any battery.
Try to avoid "topping off" the battery if there's enough of a charge in there to get by, then remove the battery or unplug from the charger only after it has had a chance to trickle charge at 100%, and your battery will last 2 or 3 years easily.
A lot of laptops come with cluttered programs since the day you take them home from the store. Stuff like Yahoo messenger or Firefox with 20 tabs open takes a lot of RAM and eats up batteries super fast.
You'll be amazed at how much life loud music sucks out of your battery. This will also do wonders in preserving your ear-drums as well.
Long ring-tones may sound cool, but hearing your favorite song play every time your phone rings will drain your battery in a hurry.
This can be an easy one to forget about if you're often switching between using a Bluetooth, and the phone's ear piece. Most people use their Bluetooth way too much anyhow, so cutting back on it's use will lengthen the life of your battery.
Pull that bad boy out of the box and give it a nice, long, healthy charge. Even if it says full, leave it in and charging for a while.
I always wondered why, turns out she was onto something. If you have extra batteries for your phone, laptop, or anything else, go ahead and store those in the refrigerator. Just make sure not to freeze them.
If you have music and movies you know know you'll be playing numerous times, just rip them onto your hard drive and you'll be styled!
If you're not using it, turn it off! If you don't need it, get rid of it! This is probably the most practical and applicable way to get the most out of all of your batteries.

Finding value in replacement laptop battery
One of the great advantages of using a laptop computer is its ability to operate it in a portable manner. This is achieved by the use of a battery as its power source. However, most users take the battery for granted and are unaware that it will eventually fail.
Most laptops today are powered by Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries. These are a great alternative to the older technologies since they have a much higher power to weight ratio, are not prone to the memory effect phenomenon and are inherently more environmentally friendly. However, much like the older battery chemistries, they do have a limited lifetime. Although the older chemistries rates of failure were proportional to the number of charging cycles, the capacity of today's Lithium-ion batteries diminish with age.
When you find that your laptop computer does not hold its charge as long as it used to, or when your system's power management utility software indicates that its charge level is decreasing, you will need to find a replacement laptop battery to maintain your computer's operating time. Finding the correct battery is generally a matter of searching for a battery that will fit your computer’s make and model number. In addition, the specifications for the battery are usually found imprinted on the charger.
With this information in hand, there are several sources from which you can purchase a new battery. These generally include the computer manufacturer, specialized electronic and computer retailers and a number of Internet sources. You will also find that, in addition to the OEM battery, there may also be a number of generic equivalents available.
Buying a replacement laptop battery directly from the manufacturer is the easiest choice, but you will be paying a premium price for this convenience. Secondary sources of OEM batteries will generally charge you as much as the computer manufacturer and in some cases you may even pay more.
This is true of both brick and mortar stores and online sites that sell computer batteries. But if you are a value shopper, you will soon realize that generic batteries will offer you the same level of performance at a substantial cost savings. Additionally, you may be able to increase your laptop’s operating time by upgrading your battery and choosing one with a higher milliamp rating in the generic equivalent. These higher capacity generic batteries typically cost much less than the OEM’s standard capacity battery.
Generic laptop batteries are produced at the same manufacturing plants that originally produced the laptop battery for the computer manufacturer; batteries are simply an out-sourced item for the computer maker. But these batteries may also be made at facilities whose standards are not as high as the primary plant’s and the only way to ensure that you have purchased a quality battery is to check the reputation of the supplier or the seller, make sure that they provide a liberal warrantee and test the battery by charging it in your computer soon after it is received.
The author performed a case study and examined the cost to buy a replacement laptop battery for a Dell Inspiron. He found that he was able to save more than 50% on a laptop battery that provided a higher capacity and offered an extended operating time. The shopping for a replacement laptop battery article provides the details. Please visit replacement laptop batteries for more buying tips and technical advice regarding computer batteries.
What to Know Before Buying a Replacement Laptop Batteries?
There are many laptop batteries manufacturers, and even more retailers to buy your laptop battery from. However, your biggest concern in purchasing a laptop battery will be to choose the battery that fits your computer. For this you will need to know the make and model number of your laptop; if you don't know this offhand or don't have the necessary paperwork, check the inside of your laptop's battery compartment while the computer is off and unplugged. There you should find the model number, along with some other information. You may also find the part number of your laptop battery, located on the casing of the battery itself.
How to Choose a replacement Laptop Battery?
When buying a laptop battery, you will probably only have one or two choices that fit your computer. Choose the battery with the longest life available for your computer. There are several different kinds of laptop batteries; because the technologies of each are very different, a laptop must be designed specifically for the type of battery it uses. Most laptops are only designed to use one type of battery technology.

How to make your cordless drill battery last longer
Cordless drills are the most convenient tools for home improvement and in some cases commercial work. Although there are many different cordless drills on the market as well as different voltages, the one thing to keep in mind is the higher the voltage, the stronger the drill. Cordless Drills run from 7.2 volts to 24 volts and of course the higher the voltage the more you are going to pay for the tool. If you are lucky enough to afford one of the more expensive cordless drills, my suggestions is to maximize the battery life by charging it properly and cleaning the contacts. By keeping up with this maintenance, it will save you from buying another battery prematurely.
To improve the effectiveness of your cordless drill battery and make it last longer, charge your battery completely after using it and especially before storing it. Many people make the mistake of charging it for only 10 or 15 minutes. This will result in a lower performing battery. Most Manufacturers recommend a full charge the first time you use a cordless drill because the battery has only a surface charge when it leaves the factory and will not deliver its full run time. To keep your cordless drill battery strong and improve its performance, charge it completely after your battery runs down. The way to tell if your battery is fully charged is to look for a red and green light on the charger. When the red light is on, your battery is charging. When the green light is on, the charger has cut off and your battery is fully charged. Although some manufactures will use the same light to indicate that the battery is charging, only changing to a steady light verses a blinking light when it is fully charged.
Refer to the manual that came with your drill. Cleaning the cordless drill battery contacts is a way to improve its performance as well. Batteries usually have two contacts (one negative and one hot). Some use three, but one is for the charger to sense the voltage during a charge. Use a clean rag and wipe away any dust or debris on all the contacts. Make sure that your cordless drill contacts are clean of any type of junk because this can affect the charge of the battery. Knowing that your cordless drill is the most convenient tool you can own, you can maximize your purchase by keeping the battery powered up and clean and this way your cordless drill will always be ready the next time you need to use it.

How to make your laptop battery last longerUsage Tips
1.Use the laptop's power management system
In Microsoft Windows the "Power Options" power management application can be found inside the Control Panel. In the Power Options Properties tab select the "Portable/Laptop" power scheme. Many laptop manufactories also provide their own custom power management applications, which help to optimize power usage and extend battery time.
2. Turn down the display brightness
You can lower the LCD brightness level to use less energy. In fact a lower brightness level also strains the eyes less and causes less fatigue.
3. Close any unused applications
Applications are a burden on the system and require energy to run. Closing any unused applications will reduce that burden and any energy consumption down the line.
4. Remove any unused PC Cards or USB devices from your laptop
These devices require energy even when they sit idle, so removing them can help to extend your laptop's battery time.
5. Disable Wireless LAN or Bluetooth network adapter when not in use
Ditto for the Wireless LAN or Bluetooth network adapters.
6. Increase system memory
Your computer stores data for use by the CPU in system memory or as virtual memory in the hard drive. Increasing system memory helps to reduce the system's reliance on the hard drive, which uses more energy than system memory.
7. Reduce unnecessary optical drive operation/activity
Avoid activities that require your optical drive to operate constantly, such as listening to CDs.
8. Avoid graphics intensive applications
The laptop system will run in a high performance settings when using these applications, causing the battery to run down at a very quick rate.
Almost all laptops today utilize rechargeable Lithium-ion (Li-Ion) batteries. Lithium Ion provides many benefits over earlier Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) or Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) Batteries, including less mass, better performance, and insusceptibility to the so-called "memory effect". Despite these benefits you can maximize your battery's lifespan by following these maintenance tips:
1. New batteries must be fully charged before use
To put your battery in optimum condition for long-term usage, please fully charge the battery before its first use. Very importantly as well, for the first 3 charge cycles, always fully charge before use and fully discharge before recharging.
2. Calibrate the battery every few months
Almost all laptop batteries are created with an internal microprocessor, which provides an estimate of battery conditions such as number of charges, discharges, full charge capacity and cycle charge count. The full charge capacity will become a little inaccurate after a few months and calibrating it can help restore the battery's performance. Some laptops provide calibration tools in the BIOS or a Windows application. If your laptop provides either of them, you can follow these three steps prior to calibration:
1. Plug in your laptop's power adapter and fully charge your battery.
2. When your battery is fully charged, disconnect the power adapter and use your laptop in battery mode. Disable all battery warning operations in Power Options Properties such as Shut down, Stand-by or Hibernation. When the remaining power is 3%, close all running application and allow the laptop to shut itself down.
3. Plug your power adapter in and fully charge your battery. Your battery has been sufficiently drained for calibration.
3. Use your battery in the proper conditions
Generally speaking, batteries work best at around 68°F (20°C), but temperatures between 32° to 95°F (0° to 35°C) will allow a battery to works in good condition too. Allowing your battery to work in conditions that are too hot or cold can lower its performance. It may also have a negative influence on the battery's lifespan as well.
4. Store your battery in the proper conditions when not in use
If you don't plan to use your laptop for a month or more, we recommend the battery be stored separately in a clean, dry and cool place. Please also ensure that the battery has about a 70% charge remaining. During storage the battery will perform a slow self-discharge, so we do not recommend storing it for a very long time (3 months or more), because it can impact the wellbeing of the battery.
Higher capacity battery or spare batteries
Some laptops may be offered with an option on a higher capacity battery, which may also be offered as a separate purchase. You can take advantage of both to extend your laptop's unplugged time.
Replace the battery
A battery that has been cared for properly should provide at least 300 full charge and discharge cycles. You can choose to purchase a replacement battery when your original battery longer is no longer able to serve you properly. The main symptom of this is a much shorter runtime even after calibration.
Please do not dispose of old laptop batteries in the rubbish bin as they can pollute the environment. Batteries should be recycled or collected for safe disposal through your local municipal or commercial programs.

Finding your laptop Brand & Model
Your owner's manual should have the brand and model on the front cover. If you don't have your owner's manual then almost every laptop has a manufacturer's label on the bottom of the computer. This label should have the brand and model number on it.
Once you have the Brand and model of your laptop, use the Search Wizard to select your Brand and Model. Once this is done it will display the compatible Battery and AC Adapter under the Product column.
Here are some models from the major brand laptops:
For Windows 98 - Vista Only
If all else fails, turn on your computer and follow these instructions:
- Go to your desktop.
- Click 'Start' on the bottom left of the screen.
- Mouse over 'Programs' > 'Accessories' > 'System Tools'
- Click on 'System Information'.
- Your computer's manufacturer, model, etc. will be listed on the following page.
Selecting the correct AC Adapter -
Before purchasing an AC Adapter you need to make sure make the AC Adapter will give you the correct voltage and suitable current output.
To find out the voltage & current, turn your laptop over and look for a label, sticker or writing which shows the voltage and current, it should look something like the examples below. The voltage figure will have a "V" after the number i.e 19V and the current will have a "A" or "mA". i.e 3.15A. You can also find these shown on your original AC adapter if you have it. The Voltage must be within 10% of your original AC Adapters Voltage. The Amps may be higher but they cannot by lower.
If you are purchasing a universal AC Adapter or Car Charger you will need to work out the Watts of your original AC Adapter and select the universal AC Adapter or Car Charger with the same Watts or next highest Wattage. You can work out the Wattage by multiplying the Voltage by the Amps i.e 20V X 3A = 60 Watts. There is no 60 Watt AC Adapter so you will need to select the next step up which is the 70 Watt AC Adapter.
PLEASE NOTE: If the wattage requirement for your laptop is lower than the 60W or 90W output of the adapter, it will not damage your laptop, your laptop will only take the amount of power it requires. I.E. If your laptop needs 45W, then either the 60W or 90W will work OK. If your laptop needs 80W then you will need the 90W one as the 75W one will not be powerful enough.
If in doubt please email us on our contacts page.
Once you have selected you Brand and Model from the Search Wizard it will display the compatible AC Adapters under the product column. Once you have clicked on the battery you will be redirected to the page displaying alllt he information about the AC Adapter. Click on the photo of the AC Adapter to enlarge the image and view the tip dimensions to ensure they are similar to your original AC Adapters tip dimensions.
Selecting the correct Battery -
Batteries have two main ratings on them: Volts and Amps. Because laptop batteries do not carry a very large amount of power when compared to larger batteries such as car batteries, most companies show their ratings with Volts and Milliamps. One thousand Milliamperes equals 1 Ampere. When buying a battery, always go for the battery with the most Milliamperes (or mAh).
Once you have selected you Brand and Model from the Search Wizard it will display the compatible batteries under the product column. Once you have clicked on the battery you will be redirected to the page displaying alllt he informationa about the battery. Ensure the battery is the same shape as your original and most importantly the Voltage is within 10% of you original batteries specified Voltage.Tags:COMPAQ laptop; SONY laptop battery; Dell laptop battery; IBM laptop battery; TOSHIBA laptop battery;APPLE laptop battery; ACER laptop battery;HP laptop battery

How to reuse your old laptop battery
Admit it. Come out of denial. You know that your laptop was super cool two years ago now gets 15 minutes of laptop battery. It sucks and we all share the same problem over time. laptop batteries (and many others begin), lose their total charging capacity after awhile. It's slow, so I usually do not realize until years later. But when it does, you can not stop crazy. Laptop batteries usually cost a fortune (the battery in my PowerBook 12 "is like $ 130). For this reason, you should take the road less traveled and build your battery.
So what have you done? Well, not too complicated, only replace basically individual cells inside the battery box hp brand-431325-321. Any time a car radio, and has had this set of $ 20 at Radio Shack to buy? Well, if you look closely, it is usually only 6 batteries wrapped Saran, along with a proprietary connector. The same goes for these laptop batteries.
Now go, before I would like to issue a warning. While most of us think they are invincible we are not. This is something to be hurt if he could not jump around. If you have to cut the electronics and also what not, no. Does it help to a specialist. We are not responsible for anything that may happen, mkay? Kay. He in 182281-001 can be exploited in the course.
Okay can therefore ready to operate. Take the fork from the wall for a moment and check.
Take your HP 395751-321 laptop battery. Try draining all the way, if possible. Check the label on your battery. Somewhere near the warning that says "Do not do this, do not that'blah, blah, blah" You should see a model number for the battery. It is likely that something along the lines of "Lithium Ion Battery Pack n levers" of the battery cover as such.
If you have a hp compaq battery as I would like the following:
So. Now we have a bunch of cells. Cute. Here you find the part number for them. As you can see in the image of the hp compaq HSTNN-DB02 battery, the number is printed on the packaging. In this case CGP345010. OK great. What does it mean? Google and see. Ahhh! It is manufactured by Panasonic. Wonderful. Now we have to get a replacement. If there are six cells, then obviously you need 6 new ones. Try this site for ordering them.
Get your Xacto knife, wire cutters, etc for this. You have to carefully remove all cells. Each bank is different, so I can not say how it will work for you. Just be careful not to throw the old ones.
Remove all metal contacts, etc, until you empty a HP KU530AA has a battery compartment.
Chances are your cells with the wires to come here to connect to something. No, we do not want this. We need them to put in the drawer! Remove the black and red, but keep all the other left. Generally, in order to prevent short circuits. Next, take the layer around your old batteries and move smoothly in the new. Once finished, you should look naked rechargeable laptop batteries, new and old.
Next you will need to bring the contact. Obviously with the metal. You can weld together properly with a metal strip on the front, or use the correct position of the metal inside the box with the battery cells from HP COMPAQ 381374-001. I have the second method and it worked for me after some tinkering around.
Almost there. Put everything back together as it was, and be sure to check the finished product with a multimeter to make sure there is a current. If all goes well, pull everything back together and then the laptop. Download the Sony VGP-BPS10 / B battery completely unused and ready. You are my friend, are established.Tags: hp;battery; laptop batteries; hp compaq battery:

Why to Get Bosch cordless drill battery
There are many reasons to get replacement Bosch cordless drill battery. The obvious one is that your battery just go bad. Symptoms for this are that even after charging for hours, the batteries won't hold a charge. But before you run out and replace batteries that you think are just bad, consider that it may be a 'memory' issue.
Nickel Cadmium batteries tend to remember a lower capacity setting and don't retain a full charge over time. This usually happens as a result of recharging the batteries when they haven't been fully discharged.
To rectify this, try putting the suspicious battery in the freezer for about 4 hours. This will often erase the 'memory' and allow the battery to charge to its full capacity.
If that doesn't work, you'll need to just throw the battery away and replace it. The fact is, even the best batteries will only survive around 500 discharge/recharge cycles. That means that eventually, you'll have to buy some new Bosch cordless drill batteries - or whatever your drill happens to be.
Of course, other than a battery going bad, there are other reasons to have spare batteries on hand. For example, let's say you're screwing in a new deck. Further, let's say you're using 3" screws. That's going to put quite a strain on your batteries.
With today's quick charge chargers, if you have just 3 Bosch drill batteries you should be able to start out with 3 charged batteries and keep working non-stop all day long. When you discharge the first battery, start charging it right away.
By the time you discharge the second battery, the first probably won't be completely done, but at some point when using the 3rd battery, the first will be charged. You can then start to charge the second.
You will probably be able to keep that cycle going over and over again and stay moving all day long.
Bosch drill batteries are available as OEM replacements as well as third party, aftermarket parts.
Just make sure you buy high quality batteries. Otherwise you can damage your drill.

Top 15 Ways to Extend Your Laptop's Battery Life
Laptops tend to lose their charm quickly when you’re constantly looking for the nearest power outlet to charge up. How do you keep your battery going for as long as possible? Here are 15 easy ways to do so.Hopefully it would be a little help for you!
1. Defrag regularly - The faster your hard drive does its work - less demand you are going to put on the hard drive and your battery. Make your hard drive as efficient as possible by defragging it regularly. (but not while it’s on battery of course!) Mac OSX is better built to handle fragmentation so it may not be very applicable for Apple systems.
2. Dim your screen - Most laptops come with the ability to dim your laptop screen. Some even come with ways to modify CPU and cooling performance. Cut them down to the lowest level you can tolerate to squeeze out some extra battery juice.
3. Cut down on programs running in the background. Itunes, Desktop Search, etc. All these add to the CPU load and cut down battery life. Shut down everything that isn’t crucial when you’re on battery.
4. Cut down external devices - USB devices (including your mouse) & WiFi drain down your laptop battery. Remove or shut them down when not in use. It goes without saying that charging other devices (like your iPod) with your laptop when on battery is a surefire way of quickly wiping out the charge on your laptop battery.
5. Add more RAM - This will allow you to process more with the memory your laptop has, rather than relying on virtual memory. Virtual memory results in hard drive use, and is much less power efficient. Note that adding more RAM will consume more energy, so this is most applicable if you do need to run memory intensive programs which actually require heavy usage of virtual memory.
6. Run off a hard drive rather than CD/DVD - As power consuming as hard drives are, CD and DVD drives are worse. Even having one in the drive can be power consuming. They spin, taking power, even when they?re not actively being used. Wherever possible, try to run on virtual drives using programs like Alcohol 120% rather than optical ones.
7. Keep the battery contacts clean: Clean your battery’s metal contacts every couple of months with a cloth moistened with rubbing alcohol. This keeps the transfer of power from your battery more efficient.
8. Take care of your battery - Exercise the Battery. Do not leave a charged battery dormant for long periods of time. Once charged, you should at least use the battery at least once every two to three weeks. Also, do not let a Li-On battery completely discharge. (Discharing is only for older batteries with memory effects)
9. Hibernate not standby - Although placing a laptop in standby mode saves some power and you can instantly resume where you left off, it doesn’t save anywhere as much power as the hibernate function does. Hibernating a PC will actually save your PC’s state as it is, and completely shut itself down.
10. Keep operating temperature down - Your laptop operates more efficiently when it’s cooler. Clean out your air vents with a cloth or keyboard cleaner, or refer to some extra tips by LapTopMag.com.
11. Set up and optimize your power options - Go to ‘Power Options’ in your windows control panel and set it up so that power usage is optimized (Select the ‘max battery’ for maximum effect).
12. Don’t multitask - Do one thing at a time when you’re on battery. Rather than working on a spreadsheet, letting your email client run in the background and listening to your latest set of MP3’s, set your mind to one thing only. If you don’t you’ll only drain out your batteries before anything gets completed!
13. Go easy on the PC demands - The more you demand from your PC. Passive activities like email and word processing consume much less power than gaming or playing a DVD. If you’ve got a single battery charge - pick your priorities wisely.
14. Get yourself a more efficient laptop - Laptops are getting more and more efficient in nature to the point where some manufacturers are talking about all day long batteries. Picking up a newer more efficient laptop to replace an aging one is usually a quick fix.
15. Prevent the Memory Effect - If you’re using a very old laptop, you’ll want to prevent the ‘memory effect’ - Keep the battery healthy by fully charging and then fully discharging it at least once every two to three weeks. Exceptions to the rule are Li-Ion batteries (which most laptops have) which do not suffer from the memory effect.Tags: battery; laptop battery

How to dispose of your old cordless drill battery
Is your tool feeling listless and letting you down on the job? Are you embarrassed because it no longer has the staying power to keep going again and again whilst on the job? Of course I'm talking about your cordless battery. what else did you think?
Power to your cordless tool is a serious matter but what do you do when your cordless drill batterysimply comes to the end of its life. After years of good service and constant use there comes the day when your Power Tool Batteries are only good for one thing. a paper weight.
Time is not even a respecter of brand neither so it matters not one jot even if you're using bosch cordless drill batteries, a Makita cordless drill battery or even a Ryoby battery or a Dewalt cordless drill battery at some point you will need to replace it.
This is to be expected even if you are using a lithium-ion battery the simple fact is that even these will eventually stop keeping a charge and start to let you down. Now at this point the first thing you may want to do is just dump it in the bin and buy a new one but consider what impact just chucking it away will have.
These batteries contain all sorts of nasty chemicals that are not very nice to people and the environment. I'm not going to get on a soapbox because you don't need me to tell you something you already know and that is. recycle it.
Did you know that 95% of some cordless drill batteries are recyclable? The main thing to consider is that just chucking it in the bin and letting it rot in some landfill is probably just going to let all that nasty Nickel Cadmium get into the environment.
To me the environment is such a big issue I find it hard to comprehend and often think "How can my little bit make a difference to millions of people" so I find it easier to think small and just bring it closer to home.
Would you take one of your old tool batteries put it in a glass of water and let one of your kids drink from the glass? Ok this is an extreme example but it makes it easier to see an issue and deal with something closer to home, so what can we do with our old cordless power tool batteries?
Well some companies operate schemes for employees to recycle their old cordless tool batteries and you should ask you health and safety officer if they do run such a scheme. But if you are self employed or a diy'er what can you do, well there is a scheme you can use.
Battery Back is committed to providing over 80,000 FREE collection points over the next 2 years and many of these points will be in schools, colleges, libraries and other public buildings as well as approved supermarkets.Tags:cordless drill battery; Power Tool Batteries; bosch cordless drill batteries;

How to check a cordless drill battery
If the battery on your cordless drill does not hold a charge or it runs down quickly, it may need to be replaced. Cordless drill batteries can wear out over time. The performance of the battery can also deteriorate if the battery has become damaged. Using a multimeter, cordless drill batteries can be tested to determine if they need to be replaced.Instructions
Sometimes a battery may test with a high voltage but drain quickly because of the way the drill is used. If you push too hard when drilling, or burden the motor of the drill with dull drill bits, the battery can drain very quickly.Tags:cordless drill battery; battery; cordless drill batteries
